
Serena Daolio - Soprano
Winner of numerous international lyric contests such as Viñas in Barcelona and
the Renato Bruson Contest in Parma, Serena Daolio made her debut in 2001 as
Violetta in La Traviata at the Teatro Bonci in Cesena. One year later,
she performed in Iphigénie en Aulide at the Teatro alla Scala under
Riccardo Muti, thus beginning an international career that brought her to
important international stages. Among her recent successful appearances, it is
worth mentioning: Carmen (Micaëla) at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale
Fiorentino; Turandot (Liù) with the Israel Philarmonic Orchestra in Tel
Aviv, Zubin Mehta conducting; Cordelia in Cagnoni’s Re Lear at the
Martina Franca Festival (CD released by Dynamic); Suor Angelica in Puccini’s
Il Trittico in
Messina; Magda in La Rondine in Palermo with the Orchestra
Sinfonica Siciliana; Madama Butterfly in Cesena under Paolo Olmi. More
recently, Serena Daolio gained great success as Mimì in La Bohème at the
Teatro San Carlo in Naples, as Liù in Turandot in Florence, Zubin Metha
conducting, and as Desdemona in Otello in Cagliari, where she also
recently starred in Verdi’s Requiem. She has just made her debut as
Leonora in Il Trovatore at the Teatro Sociale in Como and at the Kiel
Opera.

Cristina Melis - mezzo-soprano
Winner of the
International Lyric Contest “Giacomo Lauri Volpi” and the International Contest
“Giuseppe Verdi” in Parma, Cristina Melis debuted as Azucena in Il Trovatore
in Parma.
She recently performed as Bergère, Un Pâtre, La Chatte, l’Ecureuil in Ravel’s
L’Enfant et Sortileges under Yves Abel at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo,
where she also starred in Schumann’s Manfred under the baton of Michele
Mariotti and in La Gioconda (La Cieca). It is worth mentioning her
collaboration with the Arena in Verona, where she performed in Carmen,
Traviata, Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette and in a series of concerts on
tour in Europe (Madrid, London, Brussels, Berlin, Dusseldorf). She made her
debut as Cenerentola and as Isabella in L’Italiana in Algeri at the
Teatro Regio in Turin, as Carmen in Bergamo, as Azucena in Il Trovatore
and Amneris in Aida in Parma, Fenena in Nabucco on tour in Italy.
Cristina Melis recently sang Il Trovatore at the Opera in Kiel and at the
Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo. Mrs Melis collaborated with such conductors as
Bartoletti, Morandi, Severini, Beltrami, Gatti, Wilson, Dinic, Campanella,
Rizzi, Carella, De Bernart, Oren, Conlon, Armiliato, Mariotti, Kovatchev,
Arrivabeni, Jurowski and directors such as De Ana, Zeffirelli, Micheli,
Sammaritani Pier’Alli, Franconi Lee, Cannito.

Alessandro Liberatore – Tenor
Increasingly on demand at the international level, he is the interpreter of such
titles as: La Bohème (Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Palm Beach Lyric Opera and
in Hong Kong), Rigoletto (Teatro Massimo in Palermo), Madama Butterfly
(Florida Grand Opera in Miami), La Clemenza di Tito (Bergen), La
Traviata (Teatro Verdi in Trieste and Manoel Theatre in Malta), Nabucco
(Venice, Genoa, Cagliari and Sassari), Thaïs and Idomeneo (Arbace)
at the Teatro Regio in Turin; Elisir d'Amore in a production of Teatro
Regio in Turin on tour in Italy; Macbeth (Macduff) in Sassari; I
Capuleti e i Montecchi at the Opera in Rome; and Der Rosenkavalier
(Italian Singer) in Barcelona and Madrid.
Alessandro
Liberatore recently performed Lucia di Lammermoor in Rovigo; Rigoletto
at the Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos in Lisbon; La Traviata in Rouen;
Madama Butterfly in Cesena; Nabucco and a series of concerts at the
Tiroler Festspiele in Erl, Gustav Kuhn conducting. Mr. Liberatore has just made
his exciting debut in Verdi’s Requiem in Cagliari and gained great
success as Pinkerton in Madama Butterfly in Tampere.
He then performed Nabucco
and Petite Messe Solennelle in Erl; Rigoletto in Lisbon; Lucio
Silla (title role) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona;
His future
projects include: Verdi’s
Requiem in Toblach; Rota’s Mysterium in at the Vatican City and at
the Teatro San Carlo in Naples, where he will also sing in Verdi’s Otello
(Cassio).
